Visa Requirements, transportation and Vaccination
Visa
It is recommended that you contact our administration prior to your arrival to confirm if a visa is necessary for your travel and study in Ghana.
Vaccination
Please ensure that you possess a valid international vaccination card before your arrival.
Non-citizen ID card
An ID card for non-citizens, or foreigner ID card, is an official identification document issued to individuals residing in a country without citizenship. It serves as proof of legal residency and identity and is typically issued by immigration or relevant government authorities.
To obtain a non-citizen ID card (Non-Citizen Ghana Card) in Ghana, follow these steps:
Purchase a FIMS Scratch Card: First, buy a Foreign Identification Management System (FIMS) scratch card. This can be done at any CAL Bank branch or NIA Premium Lounge Centre. The scratch card costs $120 and is necessary for the registration process (VFS Global) .
Fill Out the Application Form: Download and complete the application form from the FIMS website or obtain it from the registration center. Ensure all personal details are accurately filled out.
Visit a Registration Center: Take the completed application form and the FIMS scratch card to a designated registration center. Present these documents to the registration officer.
Provide Required Documents: You will need to provide your passport and a valid resident permit. Ensure all documentation is current and accurate (VFS Global).
Biometric Data Capture: At the registration center, your biometric data (fingerprints, photograph, and possibly iris scan) will be captured for the ID card .
Card Issuance: Upon successful registration, the non-citizen Ghana Card will be issued. The card is used for identification in various transactions within Ghana and is necessary for compliance with local laws and regulations .

Pick-up
