How to Create a Google Classroom

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Create a Google Classroom:
    • Go to Google Classroom.
    • Click the + icon in the top right corner.
    • Select Create class and follow the prompts to set up your class.
  2. Invite Students:
    • Inside your class, click People in the top menu.
    • Click the Invite icon next to Students.
    • Enter student email addresses or share the class code with your students.
  3. Create an Assignment:
    • Go to the Classwork tab.
    • Click Create and select Assignment from the dropdown menu.
    • Enter the title and instructions for the assignment.
    • Add any relevant attachments, such as documents, links, or videos. You can use the Google Drive icon to add files from your Google Drive.
    • Set the due date and time if needed.
    • You can also add a topic to help organize assignments by categories.
  4. Assign the Work:
    • Once you have filled in all the necessary details, click Assign to post the assignment immediately.
    • Alternatively, click the dropdown arrow next to Assign to schedule the assignment for a later date or save it as a draft.
  5. Review and Grade Assignments:
    • Go to the Classwork tab and click on the assignment you want to review.
    • Click View assignment to see submitted work.
    • Click on individual student submissions to review and grade them.
    • Enter grades and add private comments for feedback.
    • Click Return to send the graded assignment back to the student.
